Genesis AV Matrix Switches

Hall Research has just posted their brochure on their Genesis 16×16 AV Matrix Switch. It looks pretty compact and sturdy.

It has the availability for 8 or 16 audio and video outputs, and includes the capability for RS232 and IP control. The brochure that Hall Research has posted on their site includes a part configuration chart so that you can choose the products that are applicable for your install.

According to their brochure, the Genesis 16×16 Matrix Switch has the same options available with an 8×8 Matrix Switch as well.

16×16 Matrix Switch

This is the VSM-16-16 by Hall Research. This device is used for “cross-point switching” of up to 16 video signals - which can be useful in television broadcasting, multimedia presentations, school classrooms, courtrooms, and other display presentations.

The VSM-16-16 can be controlled with the serial RS-232 control ports, or using the front panel’s control buttons.

The following is a block diagram put together by Hall Research that explains how the 16×16 Matrix Switch can be configured:
